Sustainable Quilting at Nakivale

Kick Ass Quilts also teaches people in Refugee settlement Nakivale in Uganda quilting. It is a way to clean the camp from textile trash, and to give hope and perspective to the traumatized refugee youth.  They have finished the 'Sustaianble Quilting' traject and are ready to Kick-Start their quilting dreams.

However, they struggle with financing their dreams because there are very little opportunities to earn a livelihood in the camps. You can double the price of your ticket to support these new Ugandan Quilters. The money will be spent on materials, data to access classes and share their work with the world, and lunch for during the workshops
