Theory for a sustainable future for everyone - Weekly Quilt Inspiration #6

The 4 core values of Kick Ass Quilts are: Sustainability, Connection, Mindfulness, and Joy.

Today in the live quilt inspiration session, I spoke about the 4 core values of Kick Ass Quilts and how they link together:

Those core values are linked to the '8 Assignments to Create a Beautiful World for Everyone'  which is the foundation of Kick Ass Quilts work. With these assignments, you can use quilting to create a better world.

I realized the core philosophy of Kick Ass Quilts might not have been clear to everyone. So this blog and video is to clear up any doubts. If you have any questions, just put them in the comments, and we'll continue the discussion!

Here is the picture shown in the video. It's a work in progress, so it's on scrap paper. I'd love your input on my scheme before I turn it into a pretty picture

Questions:

Join the discussion in the comments, because that's how we gain knowledge and more insight. You can use this questions to start the discussion:

  • What is vital for a sustainable future according to you?
  • Do you understand the role of quilting in a sustainable future?
  • What else is vital for a sustainable future?
  • Should sustainability be replaced with environmentalism, or maybe another term, in the diagram?
