What do you need to start Quilting?
Quilting can seem very daunting when you first start researching about it. However, there are only really 4 steps you have to follow to start! After that, you can start playing and figure out which extra tools and patterns are for you.
Step 1: A Mini memory quilt
Quilting can be done with a basic sewing kit and with a €10.000 + sewing machine and everything in between. In this video, I show you the 9 basic tools you need to quilt.
step 2: A lap quilt sampler to save the world
Quilting is storytelling. Textiles hold memories. This combination creates the magic of quilting! That’s why we are going to quilt with old clothes and saved textiles! Bonus: This is also good for the environment because it extends the life of textiles. The video shows how I prepare saved textiles before quilting.
